Today is Presidents Day, a day to discuss our Presidents' legacies, which is a worthy conversation when approached in good faith. Yet, if these discussions are not grounded in unmodified truth and context, isn't it all just propaganda?

On February 7, 2023, President Biden gave his annual ‘State of the Union’ speech on Capitol Hill, an address brimming with optimism, (mostly) justified applause bait, and a distinctly bipartisan tone. The problem is, however, the Republicans are just a bunch of jerks.

This afternoon, August 8, 2022, the FBI executed a search warrant at Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home in Florida as part of an investigation into the handling of presidential documents that he may or may not have taken from the White House (which is clearly a big no-no — duuhh).

Forced pregnancy is a *very official* crime against humanity (Source: United Nations) with six in ten Americans agreeing abortion should be legal in all or most cases (Source: Pew Research) — yet extremist right-wing SCOTUS have entirely disregarded these facts, with full knowledge of the level of division that would ensue.

BREAKING NEWS: Thousands of civilians trapped in Sievierodonetsk, Ukraine, with water supplies dwindling / Parts of Yellowstone National Park may stay closed for 'substantial length of time' after severe flooding / Temperatures in the U.S. could soar as much as 20 degrees above average / U-Haul full of white supremacists preparing to disrupt Pride event. Yet what does our media bring us? Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump, Trump.

As a COVID-infected Trump rides around in a motorcade — putting the lives of two Secret Service agents at risk for a photo-op — the ‘well wishes’ are still coming in, left, right and centre.

Like, what?

When democracy cannot be trusted, does that mean that freedom itself has been eroded?

Entitlement (noun): the belief that one is inherently deserving of privileges or special treatment. Is our overbearing sense of entitlement feeding the coronavirus?

Science. Isn’t it rad? I mean just look at what can be achieved when world leaders and citizens alike actually listen to the likes of scientists! Yet why is it that so many earthlings and their self-aggrandising leaders — *coughs* Trump — are taking notice of this particular brand of science, yet not the scientific consensus of 99.99%* certainty that humans are causing global warming?

Ever had a conversation with what seems to be real person online, yet whose account is dubious at best. So what are these accounts? And the question is, do they really matter?
