Stop the NRA!
All the above has been brought to you by the NRA and its evil band of GOP-puppets. In fact, the twelve GOP politicians pictured in this image have accepted $49,722,882 worth of money from the NRA over their careers. And that is only these twelve!
The NRA and its GOP tyrants are far too powerful, however, these terrorizers are not unbeatable. This summer we fought back and won, passing the first comprehensive gun safety bill in 30 years — and this means the gun lobby has never been as weak as it is now. Yet no great social change movement has ever won by backing down after the first victory. All our progress can be turned on its head if the wrong people are elected into power.
Today, October 7, 2022, for the next 24 hours, we are raising money for eight campaigns that are taking the gun safety movement to the next level — seven candidates and one key ballot initiative in Oregon.
So, if you hate these disgusting statistics as much as we do, please donate! Do not donate outside your own budgets — perhaps the price of your morning coffee, if you are able (but also those with more wealth privilege, please consider donating more as we need to get the right people in office).
All money raised will go directly to the eight campaigns — i.e. the one key ballot initiative in Oregon and the following seven candidates: Lauren Underwood (IL), Gabe Vasquez (NM), Mandela Barnes (WI), Andy Kim (NJ), Josh Shapiro (PA), Maggie Hassan (NH), and Elaine Luria (VA).
Let’s do something HUGE! Let’s raise as much as we can in 24 hours to put another massive nail in the NRA’s diamond-covered coffin. A momentous moment if we can pull it off.
